In the heart of Merrick there is a small piece of joy that is tucked away like a secret treasure.

Joi Salon is that special place to be. Here you will have the experience of that chic industrial Manhattan space that only  true New Yorkers can appreciate.

This salon is known for their joyful atmosphere and attitudes. The stylist here are independently operated, which means according to each stylist the prices may vary. The owner Ms. Charmaine allowed us the opportunity to see some of her work.

She does a little of everything from wash and sets to  lace fronts( hair unit with a lace base to give the natural effect for the top of your hair) and weaves. " Hair is my passion, it's what I enjoy." Said Charmaine .

Her styles speaks for themselves but her clients have no problem expressing how much they agree.

" I travel 5 hours both ways to let her do my hair, she's such a good stylist." Said Terri Griffith, long time client.
