Dry Winters

Winter is not the exact ideal time of year for you to be thinking about how your hair looks. Unfortunately, this is the time you should be really concerned with what your hair is doing more than ever. This weather is known more importantly for drying your hair out.
Some quick tips to keep your hair in order
1. Keep Moisture with natural oils
2.At least once a week do a deep conditioner
3. Be careful of breakage at the nape of your hair due to hats and scarves. Usually the constant rubbing will cause breakage in that area. As a result try and protect it by moving your hair completely out of the way or use some sort of silk lining as a protection.

Always remember to keep hydrated and drink plenty of water and hot tea.
Another thing to remember is to keep vitamin e gel caps. you can actually pierce them and squeeze the gel directly into your scalp. It's great especially with the dry scalp!

Stay fashion forward and always remember that healthy hair is always in style!!!

Sophisticated Braids

Lately there is a rather new trend on the scene that is causing a bit of a stir in the fashion and beauty world. This trend is the braid. Once upon a time people would have a stigma or a "stereotype " if you will that braids were only worn by African American women or women who were trying to be "ghetto".
I am here to let you know that this isn't the case at all! Now, the braid is all the talk in the higher circles with celebrities and public figures. Of course here I am to give you the tips and styles as to how to wear this trend.
Majority of the time most girls will wear a single braid across the top of their head like a band or down one side like shown here (to the left). This look can be accomplished very easily! If you have a fine silky hair texture you can still get this look, all you need is some hairspray and to tease the area in which you will be braiding. then continue to braid that section. This will give your hair some body so the braid won't slip right out and also add a clear rubber band at the end of it.
Another way to wear the braids are half and half sort of like "pippy long-stockings" . This style (to the right) is cute but it can be made more chic in the way it is displayed here. Don't fret! If you want this look but you have short hair no problem you can always added extensions. With this look you will need to get unwefted  (loose ) hair to braid with that matches tour hair color and texture.

Lastly I want to show one of my personal favorites called the "fish-tale braid". This style is usually done in a ponytail going straight to the back. Here for example she has the braid falling down one side with two other braids feeding into it. This style is very chic and beautiful. This look can go from day to night effortlessly as well as to lunch or to a party.
The great thing about this trend is that is very versatile and can work for anyone and can be worn to any occasion. Ladies here is the new trend of the week, stay tuned for even more!!!!
